Movie and television actress and former beauty queen Rio Diaz, 45, died Sunday night in a hospital in California, United States due to cancer which afflicted her for six long years.
The former Eat Bulaga mainstay suffered from colon cancer which was diagnosed in December of 1998.
Rio, who was often been reported to be on the verge of death everytime she was in the US for treatment, died last Sunday night, 10:30 p.m. (7:30 a.m. Manila time, Monday, Oct. 4), at the Seton Hospital in California.
