i've been having so much fun here in the philippines that i didn't realize that i've been here for a week now! time does fly so fast! and still haven't had time to rest... huhuhuhu! as of this moment, i'm here in an airconditioned net cafe located in the heart of the araneta center in cubao, sipping my coffee shake and waiting for my sandwich while writing in my blog... 'stig!

anyways, me and my friends (carlo, boyet, jovy and jasmin) went to my classmate's son's baptismal last easter sunday... it was cool... after the baptismal, we celebrated at their house and we ate and sang... grabe walang tigil sa magic sing videoke! karir na ito mga tsong! hahaha!

then me and my brother went to ortigas monday to shop for clothes... bought a pair of shirts that i'll be taking to puerto galera this weekend... woohoo!

then last night, me and my college friends empee and jasmin went to eat at yellow cab pizza in morayta... grabe tama nga sila! astig ang pizza nila! dabest!

i also bought a cd copy of eraserheads anthology, which features a 2-disc set of the greatest hits from the famous pinoy rock band the eraserheads... napa-reminisce tuloy ako sa 90s... hehehe! i suggest that you get your own copy...

we went to zambales to spend the holy week... i think it's just the 2nd time since 1999 that i actually went to zambales... the other time was back in 2003... it was quite an experience!

we left metro manila thursday morning, and it took us about 5 hours to get to our destination... i'm quite impressed with the new nlex (north luzon expressway)... it makes travelling up north a lot faster and easier...

first, we went to palauig in iba, zambales to spend the night... once we got there around late afternoon, i immediately went to sleep since i haven't had some rest ever since i came here in the philippines... woke up around 4 am, and went to check the beach... it was romantic! the moon was bright and the tides were low... even some people slept under the moonlight... even took some pictures... i'll post them once they're available (including jm's pics... sorry... god i miss that kid...)...

we left palauig friday afternoon, and we went to my aunt's place in subic... took us 2 hours of driving to get there... once we got there, we immediately went inside the sbma... god i love that place! we saw some people who were riding jetskis and we ate dinner there... after that, we went back to subic to get some sleep...

the next day, we went to a mountain resort where my uncle is celebrating his birthday... it was also the chance for me to see some of my cousins... it was really great seeing my cousins again... then we left at around 2pm, and then we stopped over at the royal subic mall inside sbma to buy some stuff... after some shopping, we went back to quezon city... the traffic was crazy, but it's all good... got here in quezon city at around 10pm... man i was so tired at that time!

but i am definitely coming back to subic at least one more time before i go back to the united states...

just got here in manila from washington, dc after a 22-hour flight that included 2 stopovers in detroit and nagoya, japan... i feel like my world is moving at a fast rate... hehehe!

my brothers picked me up at the ninoy aquino international airport and we went straight to the baywalk in roxas boulevard coz i was hungry like hell! i wasn't feeling good during my flight, and the food they were serving tasted like crap... anyways, i had sisig and 2 cups of java rice... it was m'm m'm good! and this band alamid, a famous pinoy band during the 90s, performed on stage... it was cool, as they sang their past hits "your love" and "china eyes"... but i was wondering why they didn't want to sing rivermaya songs when some of the audience requested it... oh well...

anyways, gotta rest now... i'm feeling dizzy... i'll post more later... and oh yeah, i'll also include jm's pics... ;)

i've just started packing my luggage for my 5-month vacation to the philippines... it's the 2nd time i'm going to the philippines ever since me and my parent migrated in the us on 2002... don't you just hate it when almost half of what you're bringing home are pasalubong coming from my family? i mean, yeah i know how thoughtful they are and everything, but this is supposed to be MY vacation... i can't even fit my clothes on one luggage, and the other luggage has been filled with those pasalubong that i'm tasked to give to my family members in pinas from my parents here in the us... why can't they just send a "balikbayan box" then? don't you just hate that?

anyways, i still need to do some last-minute shopping this friday... still have some stuff to buy before my flight this monday...

by the way, the madness is here... well, if you don't know what i'm talking about, it's the ncaa tournament... too bad i won't be catching all of it due to my flight... i doubt that they'll be showing all the games while i'm in the philippines... anyways, i'm predicting the unc tar heels to win it all this year...

one more thing that i won't be catching it live is wrestlemania 21, which will be on april 3rd... oh well, i can just check the results hours after it... but it ain't the same as watching it on pay-per-view...

oh, and speaking of ppv's, the manny pacquiao-erik morales fight will be on saturday, march 19th... i'm not sure if i'll be able to watch it though... i'll be quite busy by that time... but here's my prediction, and it's a shocker... erik morales will win in the late rounds, probably in the 9th or 10th...

one week to go, and i'll be going to the PI! me and my college friends will be in puerto galera on the 1st week of april... it'll be the first time i'll be going there... to all my friends in the PI, hope to see you guys soon! miss you all...

did some shopping last wednesday... but i'm not done yet... planning to do my last-minute shopping later this week... went to arundel-mills mall, which is like a 30-minute drive away from here... bought some clothes from gap and old navy, and also a pair of nike shox basketball shoes... cool! hehehe!

i just changed my background music again... it's for my special someone... this has been my LSS (last song syndrome) since earlier this afternoon...

anyways, for those who aren't familiar to the song, the song is entitled You're The First, The Last, My Everything by Barry White... long title for a song huh?! hehehe! this song was used in the movie Money Talks (Chris Tucker & Charlie Sheen) where at the very first scene Chris Tucker was singing the song while driving along the streets of Los Angeles... speaking of Chris Tucker, how i wish i'd have his voice for a day... just one day... hehehe!

earlier tonight, me and my aunt went to golden dragon, a filipino restaurant down on indian head highway here in maryland... it's been almost a year since the last time i've been there...

as we entered the place, i sa a blow-up picture of everyone's favorite american idol 3 contestant jasmine trias... blech!

at that point, i felt that i was going to vomit... good thing i haven't eaten anything yet since lunch... hehehe!

we had chicharong bulaklak and calamares served with rice... it was good, and expensive... it cost me about $35 (had to pay for the whole thing coz i promised my aunt i'll pay for everything since it'll be my last week of work before i go to the philippines later this month)... but it was good, so i think it's worth the price... afterwards, we went home... as we went for the exit, i saw trias' pic again... that's when i almost puked all over the place... good thing i did it at the front of the entrance... hehehe! parang nasayang lang tuloy iyung kinain ko... hahaha!
