alright, so i was supposed to make my nhl predictions last week, but i didn't had the time... anyways, my prediction wouldn't include the detroit red wings, who won the president's trophy this season after having the most points... i knew they would choke in the playoffs again... hah!
okay, so we're now down to eight teams... and lemme make this one quick...
in the east, i predict that the carolina hurricanes will come out on top... although i wanted the new jersey devils winning the east, it doesn't look good as they're down to the cans 0-2 in the eastern semis...
out west, i pick the mighty ducks of anaheim, since they've been playing hot lately, thanks to ilya bryzgalov, who's been playing brilliant lately... which goes to show you that in the nhl playoffs, you really don't need homeice advantage, but you need a hot goaltender that can take you deep into the postseason...
so, there you have it, the ducks playing the canes in the stanley cup finals... and with a similar disney ending like in the movie, i pick the ducks winning it all...

i was watching the tfc network earlier today and this just came up to me...
aside from all being on the tfc network, what do certain programs like wowowee, wazzup wazzup, pilipinas game knb?, bora, gudtaym, the buzz, etk, the buzz, star circle quest, pinoy big brother, goin' bulilit, and homeboy have in common?
they're all sad excuses for a tv show, that's what.
heck, even these tv personalities can't act for crying out loud!
take for instance the "amir of rap" carlos agassi... i remember watching him doing a live halftime show during the admu-dlsu game at the araneta in 2000... after he performed, he got booed out of the court... hah! a few years later, this ashton kutcher-wannabe got a prank show entitled "victim", which is quite copied from kutcher's show on mtv "punk'd"... it didn't last long, and in the end, he showed to everyone that he surely is a "victim" of his own lameness...
"amir of rap"? heh, more of like the "amir of crap"...
there're also a lot of actors and actresses who can't frickin' act, especially the teenyboppers (*cough* gross joross *cough* sucky sandara)...
in the words of a conyotic teenager, "they're making pa-tweetums sa camera oh! so baduy! nakaka-ewww! yaaaak!"
it's a good thing that katrina halili, camille prats, and the like started posing for FHM... here's hoping for shaina magdayao in the near future hehehe!
now, if you're saying that i'm biased against the "kapamilya" network, well, we still don't have gma pinoy tv in our area, so i can't really say if the "kapuso" network is actually okay or not...
but i'm absolutely and positively sure that most of the tv shows in the philippines are pure crap, period.
p.s. how i miss the misadventures of maverick and ariel...
i was supposed to make my nba predictions a week ago, but i was pretty much occupied with work, so i didn't get the chance to do it hehehe...
but as the saying goes, better late than never... so i'll make a short prediction anyways...
the detroit pistons, led by 2004 nba finals mvp chauncey billups, will come out victorious in the eastern conference... while out west, it'll be the san antonio spurs who'll emerge as the champs of the western conference...
so it'll be a rematch of the last year's nba finals... however, i think the outcome will be different though... the pistons look better than last year, and with tim duncan and manu ginobili both playing hurt for the spurs, i believe it'll be hard for them to defend their title...
in conclusion, i'm predicting that the detroit pistons will win over the spurs in 6 games...

shifting to philippine basketball now, where joseph yeo is at it again... if you remember during the 2005 uaap season, the green archer was busy trashtalking his opponents, and even got into exchanging not-so-pleasant words with arwind santos of feu...
then in december, during the admu-dlsu dream game at the araneta coliseum, he got into a scuffle with former ateneo blue eagle enrico villanueva... he eventually got ejected immediately because of that and was heavily criticized by the media after the game... heck, even pba commish noli eala is considering suspending or even banning yeo from the pba draft...
now, he's back with his antics once again...
in a recent pbl game, he hit gilbert malabanan and was again ejected... he's also serving a one-game suspension because of that...
i've had enough of his dirty antics, and i hope somebody teaches this jerk a lesson he will never forget... either fine and suspend him or something, and if he still doesn't stop from doing it, then banning him from playing is a good option...
and to you joseph, "yeo" ain't the man anymore... you're more of like a thug...
oh, and marco is still waiting for you to return him the 20 pesos you borrowed from him during your xavier days...
