earlier tonight, the new york yankees got waxed by the cleveland indians at home, 22-0. that's right... 22-0. it was their worst loss in the team's 101-year history, and they are on a freefall for the past 2 weeks as their al east lead against their rivals, the boston red sox, was trimmed down from a high of 10 1/2 games to 3 1/2 games...

the yanks got embarassed... crushed... destroyed... demolished... at home.

and i know somewhere as of this time, boston native ben affleck is happy... and smiling... because he will remember that this night, the yankees did suck.

okay, just in case you don't know who that girl is, she's serena williams, one of the most dominant women in women's tennis today... did you see her get-up yesterday at the us open? she wore knee high boots, a denim miniskirt, a studded black tank top and dangling earrings...

now i don't know if that's cool or that's downright scary, and speaking of scary, did you see her nike tv ad wherein every teenage girl playing tennis turned into her? scary... real scary... as in freddie krueger scary...

to craig kilborn with love: we'll miss you...

i can't believe after 5 years of hosting cbs network's the late late show, craig kilborn has decided to call it quits and move on... i remember watching this guy since 2002 when i first got here in the us... he wasn't that funny compared to dave letterman, but his jokes are quite amusing... i even remember watching him in espn sportscenter before he became the host of the daily show in comedy central, which is now hosted by john stewart... anyways, i just want to wish you the best of luck with your career...

if you ever see this guy, the one who's wearing a kilt and beret, please hit him in the head with a baseball bat... i mean, what in the bluest of blue hell was he doing there disrupting the marathon? i hope he gets his ass lighted up by firecrackers...

since yesterday, i've been officially unemployed... i resigned from my job after 4 months of working there... now, i'm still looking for a new job, but i'm not in a hurry... i also need some time off from work... hehehe!

anyways, team usa won the bronze medal in the men's basketball in the athens olympics... they lost to argentina the game before, so they had to settle for the bronze and won the bronze medal game over lithuania, who defeated them earlier in the tourney... argentina, led by san antonio spurs guard manu ginobili, went on to win the gold medal after beating italy... even if the us ONLY won the bronze, i'm proud of these guys because they were committed for this thing... lots of higher-rated and more talented nba players declined to play in athens, and these lesser known, younger players stepped up for their country... they sacrificed a lot, and even if they lost a few games (3 losses in fact), they still played 'til the last minute... kudos for that...

by the way, i got my ray lewis jersey yesterday from eBay... i really loved that jersey that i wore it as soon as i got it... i'm more of a ravens fan than a skins fan, actually... i should budget my money... naaadik na ako sa ebay... ika nga ni veng, "isa na ako sa mga 'ebay babies'"... hehehe!

i called my friend in socal yesterday to congratulate him and his wife for having their first kid last friday... i don't know if it's a boy or girl... i'll call them again during the weekend...

anyways, catch y'all soon... enjoy the resy of the weekend peeps!

i went at old navy earlier to shop for more clothes... bought a pair of jeans, 2 shirts, and a pair of shorts... still waiting for the football jersey and the bracelet that i both bought at eBay to arrive... i hope it gets here by tomorrow... suddenly, i'm becoming a shopaholic... hehehe!

also stopped by the post office coz jasmin, my college friend in the p.i., wanted me to send her an ikea catalog... she told me she's gonna buy me a chickenjoy meal at jollibee when i take a vacation in the philippines next year... so i had to send it right away bago pa man magbago ang isip niya... hehehe!

anyways, have to go for now... i'm having a severe headache as of this moment... have a great weekend y'all!

yesterday, me and my friend went out to see exorcist: the beginning... all i can say is that the movie is quite okay and quite scary by the way... the only advice that i can give you when watching a horror movie is never bring an annoying friend who gets overly scared... she was so freakin' scared she can't even watch the whole movie and she even wanted to go outside because she can't stand all those horrifying things that she saw (and the sounds that were coming out of those bass speakers) in the movie... it's okay to be scared, but not that much... it wasn't that scary actually, and yet she kept on hiding her face so that she can't see the movie... i was really annoyed i wanted to put my popcorn bucket on her head... and i wanted to watch yu-gi-oh the movie instead... huhuhu...

oh speaking of my friend... that friend of mine, whenever she drives her dodge caravan, she drives it the way juvenile wants it... slow motion... in a road with a speed limit of 40, she drives it in 30... makes me wanna hide my head... no wonder she gets honked a lot by other drivers in the back... and i thought that dodge gotta hemi...

also, i bought some stuff after the movie at old navy... i'm actually more of a gap person, but that'll do... i bought myself a pair of cargo pants, a polo shirt, and 3 pairs of boxer shorts... it was the first time i actually went shopping at the mall in months... also the first time i've been to virginia in months... also bought a football jersey and a bracelet last night at eBay...

i'm still looking for a job... i'm actually sick and tired of going to my present job and seeing all those koreans doing absolutely nothing... ukinamsyet... maybe i need some time off from work...

anyways, catch y'all soon! gotta go, sago!

okay it's been a while since i last posted here in my blog... well, here's the reason... ever since my copy of madden nfl '05 came in last tuesday, i've been hooked up with it... i'm so addicted with this freakin' game! i tell ya, if you're a huge football fan and a video game addict, i recommend that you purchase a copy right now...

anyways, i know i'm boring you with the madden stuff... michael phelps has won 8 medals (6 gold, 2 bronze) in one olympics, tying an olympic record... i have to admit, i thought at first that he was kinda overrated, but he proved me wrong... bar none, he's the best swimmer today... even better than "the torpedo" ian thorpe... but i don't know if he can break mark spitz's olympic record of 7 gold medals in one olympics... we'll just have to wait for another 4 years to see if he can do it... but i guess we all do know that he has the longest torso in olympic history... hehehe!

speaking of the olympics, the us men's basketball team lost... again... they lost yesterday to lithuania, 94-90... it's their 2nd loss in this year's olympics... i kinda expected it because lithuania is a powerhouse in euro basketball and the us doesn't have any perimeter players and jump shooters in their lineup... they should've taken fred hoiberg or asked steve kerr to come out of retirement...

3 weeks 'til the nfl regular season starts... i'll be making my predictions later this month... hehehe! i'm also wondering if should i try that online sports betting scheme that my cuz has been playing on... it's kinda scary that i might get addicted into it and i might lose a lot of money... oh well... hehehe!

got to go for now... have to go to church! oh by the way, can't you believe that costco's planning to start selling caskets?!

didn't went to work today... well, i was about to, but after taking a bath earlier this morning, i was feeling dizzy and a few minutes later, i feel like i was gonna vomit... i still decided to go to work, but while i was on my way, i decided to go back home and rest for the day coz i'm not capable of working... afterwards, when i got home, i quickly ran to the bathroom and began to vomit stuff... it was first vomit that i had in 5 years... and i tell you, it sucks...

anyways, i just went to sleep and woke up at around 1:00 pm... i was reading the results from last night's WWE SummerSlam, and i found out that "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton won the World Heavyweight Title against Chris Benoit... it kinda shocked me at first, knowing that he's the youngest ever to become a champion, but hey he kinda deserves it at least... anyways, i was watching WWE Raw a while ago, and he gets kicked out by Evolution and gets annihilated by HHH (i sometimes call him Haitch, or Pinnochio due to his huge nose covering up his face) and Batista... looks like Orton's going to turn face... but i'm sure he's out of Evolution... can't wait for Raw next week!

i'm still waiting for Madden NFL '05 to be shipped... i hope i receive it this week... hehe!

big shocker in men's basketball in the 2004 games in greece... puerto rico defeated the united states, 92-73... first time the us lost since they've started sending nba players to the olympics in '92... which proves that there's only ONE dream team, and that's the team which played in barcelona in '92 where it featured stars line michael jordan, magic johnson, and larry bird among others...

----------

this song is for you... you know who you are... :)

I'll Be
Edwin McCain

The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
Stop me and steal my breath
Emeralds from mountains thrust toward the sky
Never revealing their depth
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated
I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

[Chorus:]
I'll be your crying shoulder
I'll be love suicide
I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life

Rain falls angry on the tin roof
As we lie awake in my bed
You're my survival, you're my living proof
My love is alive not dead
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache, that hang from above

[Chorus]

I've been dropped out, burned up, fought my way back from the dead
Tuned in, turned on, Remembered the things that you said

[Chorus]

today is the release date for the anticipated football video game Madden NFL 2005... just in case you didn't know, Madden '05 is one of the most successful sports video games in history, and EA Sports and John Madden has been producing the game for 15 years... anyways, i pre-ordered my copy on eBay a few weeks back... i didn't just bought the regular version... I BOUGHT THE COLLECTOR'S EDITION, BABY! the collector's edition (or special edition) has those additional stuff that the regular edition doesn't have... i just hope that i'd be getting it next week... i've been anticipating it for months now... well, actually since my nephew lost my memory card for the ps2 a few months back... since all the saved games were in that memory card, i lost all the saved games i used to play in my other games... i then bought a ps2 memory card also on eBay, and when i got my memory card a week later, i only played FFX since...

anyways, i'm quite boring you with the madden '05 and all that stuff... it was quite a boring (and rainy) day today in MD... famous pop singer Prince, or now known as "The Artist Formerly Known As Prince" (T.A.F.K.A.P. for short) is having a concert this weekend at DC... they were playing lots of Prince songs in one radio station here... songs such as 'When Doves Cry', 'Purple Rain', and 'Little Red Corvette'... makes me wanna drive a Corvette while reminiscing the '80s... hehehe!

anyways, be back soon... have to eat dinner... ciao!

just added some links to my blog (thanks to abby... mwah!)... still have to figure out how to change or improve my blog... hehehe!

anyways, i watched the first NFL game of the preseason... it was a game between the Washington Redskins and the Denver Broncos in Canton, OH... the good news is that the Skins won, 20-17, on a game-winning FG as time expired, but the bad news is that Skins offensive lineman Jon Jansen ruptured his left Achilles' tendon, and he could be out for the season...

be back later... have to go to work.
