in the words of former houston rockets coach rudy tomjanovich: don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion.

and that's what the detroit pistons did tuesday night in game 6 of the 2005 nba finals at the sbc center in san antonio, texas...

down 2-3 and their backs against the wall, the defending champs went to san antonio and won, 95-86 over the san antonio spurs to even their series at 3 games apiece and force a one-game winner-take-all for the 2005 larry o'brien trophy...

game 7 will be held in san antonio thursday night... it'll be the first game 7 in an nba finals series since 1994, when the houston rockets defeated the new york knickerbockers...

rasheed wallace (above), who was criticized for leaving robert horry, who hit that 3-pointer in that game 5 spurs win, was the hero for the pistons, scoring 7 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter...

no one gave the pistons a chance tonight... the last time the pistons won in san antonio was way back in 1997...

-----

now, it's down to one final game to determine who'll be this year's nba champs... either win or go home, that's the motto... as i've said before, these two teams deserve to win, but there can be only one...

over the last 4 games, i've witnessed a much tougher and much hungrier pistons team... they're capable of coming back from adversity and winning, and they could do it again this thrusday... plus i have this strange feeling that they'll win it...

but i'm still sticking with the spurs winning it all...

but anyways, it's been a fun, exciting and heart-pounding series between two of the best teams in the nba... in my opinion, it's the best nba finals since 1998, when the chicago bulls achieved their 2nd 3-peat of the 90s over the utah jazz...

so to all basketball fans out there, enjoy game 7 coz it's the last game of the season, and the next nba season don't start 'til like 5 months from now!
