earlier today, carlo and i went to watch the movie the longest yard at the robinson's place... the movie starred adam sandler, chris rock, and burt reynolds...
the movie is a remake of the 1974 movie with the same title... it's about a guy named paul crewe (sandler), a former football star quarterback who landed in jail after a drunk driving incident... now, he must assemble a football team of prisoners and inmates to square off against a team of sadistic guards... with the help of caretaker (rock) and nate scarborugh (reynolds), crewe is ready for what promises to be an interesting game...
it was a great and funny movie, which also featured ex-nfl players (bill romanowski, michael irvin, brian bosworth), pro wrestlers (bill goldberg, steve austin, kevin nash), and cameos from espn personalities (dan patrick, chris berman, sean salisbury, jim rome)... of course being an adam sandler movie, comedian rob schneider also made a cameo...
to those who are diehard football fans, or to those who just want to have a good laugh, you better watch this movie... not the best of sports flicks, but it's a good movie...
