after the first 3 weeks of the 2005 NFL regular season, i've decided to change my picks on who'll make the playoffs and which teams will be playing in detroit for Super Bowl XL (that's 40 just in case you're not good in Roman numbers)... i've realized that some of my picks are actually sucking this season, while other teams are somewhat surprising in a good way...

so, here are my new (and improved) picks for this NFL season:

AFC:

AFC East: New England Patriots
AFC North: Pittsburgh Steelers
AFC South: Indianapolis Colts
AFC West: San Diego Chargers
AFC Wild Cards: Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs

NFC:

NFC East: Philadelphia Eagles
NFC North: Minnesota Vikings
NFC South: Atlanta Falcons
NFC West: Seattle Seahawks
NFC Wild Cards: Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers

AFC Champs: Indianapolis Colts
NFC Champs: Philadelphia Eagles

Super Bowl XL Champs: Indianapolis Colts

-----

yup, i'm changing my pick to the colts to win this season... we all know that the colts have a high-octane offense, which we still have to see this season... but they also now have a stellar defense, which they lacked in the past... and that, i think could be the difference in dethroning the patriots in the afc...

i'm also changing my pick in the nfc to the eagles from the panthers coz obviously the panthers are underachieving right now, while the eagles, even battered by injuries and an opening week loss, look to be strong contenders in that conference...

but i promise this is the last time i'll be changing picks this season... hehehe!

in the UAAP, it'll be the FEU Tamaraws and the DLSU Green Archers who'll be playing in the UAAP Men's Basketball Finals for the 2nd straight year after winning their respective Final Four Games via a blowout... the Tams defeated the UE Warriors in a battle of Recto schools, while the Archers defeated their arch rivals the ADMU Blue Eagles...

i was hoping that Ateneo would win it all this year and i wanted to see LA Tenorio win one before he goes into the professional ranks... oh well...

also, i wanna give major props to my alma mater, the UST Growling Tigers, for finishing sixth with a 4-10 record, the same record they had last year... but hey, it was an improvement from 7th last year to 6th... hehehe! and it looks like they have a better future ahead of them... but for the love of god, could you please find a replacement for UST Coach Nel Parado?!

anyways, here're my picks for the Mythical 5, the Rookie of the Year, the MVP, and the team who'll win it:

Mythical 5:
C - Doug Kramer (ADMU)
F - Arwind Santos (FEU)
F - Nestor David (UP)
G - LA Tenorio (ADMU)
G - RJ Rizada (FEU)

ROY: Dylan Ababou (UST) <--- somewhat bias here hehehe!

MVP: Arwind Santos (FEU)

UAAP Season 68 Champs: FEU over DLSU in 2 games
