There will be a Game 3.
The UST Growling Tigers bounced back from their heart-breaking loss in Game 1 and crushed the ADMU Blue Eagles, 87-71 in Game 2 of the 2006 UAAP Men's Basketball Finals. The series is now tied at 1 apiece.
Dylan Ababou finished the game 22 points and 9 rebounds as 5 Tigers scored in double-figures. Jojo Duncil scored 20 points and Jervy Cruz had 10 points and 13 rebounds.
The Eagles were led by JC Intal with 23 points and 10 rebounds while Doug Kramer added 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Game 3 will be on Monday, October 2nd, at the Araneta Coliseum at 3:00 p.m.
Earlier, the UST Tigresses and ADMU Eaglets won the UAAP Women's Basketball and UAAP Juniors' Basketball crowns, respectively.
Also, the UAAP Most Valuable Player award was given to Ken Bono of the Adamson Falcons, edging out JC Intal and Jervy Cruz. Bono, Intal, and Cruz made the UAAP Mythical Five along with Jeff Chan of FEU and Marvin Cruz of UP.
