So I was watching the Monday night football game last night, and when they went to a commercial, they showed this ad from Toyota:

Being a World Of Warcraft fan, I pissed my pants off... Well, that didn't really happen, but you get the idea.

Makes me wanna buy a Toyota instead of a Honda if I ever get a car someday hehe!

Anyways, I forgot to post this a week earlier, but it's official: THE UE RED WARRIORS ARE THE BIGGEST CHOKERS IN THE HISTORY OF UAAP MEN'S BASKETBALL.

Going 14-0 in the elims and automatically qualifying in the Finals, they went 0-2 against the DLSU Green Archers, thus giving the ballers from Taft the 2007 Men's Basketball Crown.

Way to go, UE! This proves that when it mattered the most, you can't win the big one.

The 2007 MLB World Series is just a week away, but I got the winner of the ALCS (either Cleveland or Boston) winning the whole thing. Sure, I wanna see my Boston Red Sox win it all, but Cleveland's been longing for a title. So I don't mind them winning it.

But even with the MLB postseason going on, it seems that the New York Yankees are getting all the attention from the media. With manager Joe Torre's future in question, and with all the speculation as to where guys like Alex Rodriguez, Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada, and Roger Clemens will be going during the offseason, there's no question that the Yankees are the most popular team in baseball right now.

It will be interesting to see what happens to the Bronx Bombers as the days go by.

-----

As my parting shot, my team's 3-3 right now in our PEx Fantasy Football League. Crud.

I am not a fan of the TV show "Desperate Housewives", but a friend of mine told me about this.

After a while, I started searching clips over at YouTube, and found this:

To those fellow Filipinos of mine who think this is offensive and uncalled for, I've got this to say:

BIG EFFIN' DEAL

It's just a show. No need to be offended. You've got way too much time talking about this. Just forget it and move on with your lives, people. Simple as that.

And, as my Filipino friend told me a few minutes ago, "Filipino doctors go to the US and become nurses."

So please, get over it, and move on with your daily lives.

The NHL season's about to start. For some reason, I feel good about my Washington Capitals. I really do hope they do make the Stanley Cup playoffs this season. It has been disappointing the past season, but now that they're giving Alexander Ovechkin some offensive help, it's going to be an exciting season.

Also, the MLB post-season has just started. I'm hoping that the Boston Red Sox would win it all, but if in case they don't win, I want the Chicago Cubs to win the World Series and end their 99-year drought.

It's anyone's ballgame. 8 teams remaining, 1 champion.

LET THE HUNT FOR OCTOBER BEGIN!

Here's one good reason why I can't wait for 2008 to arrive:

OH YEAHHH!!!

Speaking of which, has anyone watched the first movie "Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle"? I suggest you watch that. It's hilarious. As a matter of fact, I'm getting myself a DVD copy. And I don't really collect movie DVDs!

I'll also try to watch "Knocked Up" and "Superbad" when I get the chance.

Great sporting weekend. Last week of the MLB season prior to the postseason. The NFL. Upsets in college football. ADMU-DLSU do-or-die match to see who gets into the finals to face UE.

Anyways, here's my take on what happened in the sporting world this past weekend:

- Congrats to Packers QB Brett Favre for becoming the NFL's all-time TD passing leader. And more importantly, congrats to the Packers for their amazing 4-0 start.
- The NY Mets stink. I mean, how could you have a big lead in the NL East with a couple of weeks left, and blow it like that?
- The Chargers stink. Bring back Marty!
- The Bears stink. So much for the Brian Griese experiment.
- So much for Florida winning the national title for the 2nd straight year. Losing at home against Auburn?! Are you kidding me? Well, if they lost next week to top-ranked LSU, they're done. But still, Tim Tebow for Heisman... TIMMMAYYYY!!!!
- How 'bout 'em Cowboys! How 'bout that Romo kid! How 'bout his ad! Have you seen it by the way?

- And finally, grats to the DLSU Green Archers for winning the right to face the UE Warriors in the 2007 UP Men's Basketball Finals. Good luck... coz you're gonna need it. I mean, seriously. YOU'RE GONNA NEED IT.

And speaking of which, I just thought that the ADMU-DLSU battle for 2nd was pointless. They're just prolonging the coronation of UE as Men's Basketball Champs. Plus the fact that they made tons of money from the last two Ateneo-La Salle games.

And who's gonna watch the UE being crowned as champs anyway? They're pretty dull if you ask me.

Well, at least they're not worse than San Beda.

Have you guys heard Serj Tankian's new single "Empty Walls" from his upcoming solo album "Elect The Dead"?

Oh it's awesome... and the video has a very powerful meaning if you ask me.

Here's the video, and I do hope Philippine radio stations would pick this song up and play it:

Serj is an effin' genius.

Decided to go back blogging here after a two-month hiatus. Was pretty much busy with work recently.

Anyways, for those of you who haven't heard yet, I won't be going home this year. The main reason as to why I postponed my vacation to the Philippines is that we're currently waiting for our US Citizenship, which, hopefully, will take 12 months at most to get fully done.

But by the time I become an American citizen and as soon as I visit the Philippines, I'll probably apply for a dual citizenship.

Right now, I'm just gonna have to wait...

-----

Anyways, the UST Tigers have failed to defend their Men's Basketball Title after losing to the ADMU Blue Eagles during this past weekend in the UAAP. I really don't feel bad about it, since they got "extremely lucky" winning the title last year, and they haven't played up to their potential at times during this season.

But hey, come to think of it... we didn't finish 0-14. Hehehe!

Anyways, with all this knockout matches going on which will determine who'll face the UE Red Warriors in the Finals, it doesn't matter anyway. The Warriors, who swept the regular-season at 14-0, will win the Men's Basketball Crown. Mark my word.

And if they don't, that'll definitely be the biggest choke job in UAAP history. Even bigger than the 2002 DLSU Green Archers.

-----

Oh, and if you just stumbled around here to get a review of how the UAAP Cheerdancing Competition went, well... you ain't getting one. Because I don't watch it, and I hate it.

Just like what I've said before: Cheerdancing's for sissies.

Since I haven't blogged the past six months due to me being too busy at work and being to lazy while I was off, I would like to say a few things:

- Congrats to the San Antonio Spurs for winning the 2007 NBA Title over the Cleveland Cavaliers in what I think was the most boring NBA Finals series ever. Still, I live the Spurs no matter what. TIMMMMAAAAYYYYY!!!

- Congrats to the Indianapolis Colts for winning Super Bowl XLI last February against the Chicago Bears. Finally, Peyton Manning won the big one. Also, this game is significant to the African-American community since this was the first time that a black coach made it to the Super Bowl, and what's amazing is that both coaches of the Colts and the Bears are black (Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith).

- Congrats to both the University of Florida Gators for winning the NCAA College Football and NCAA Men's Basketball crowns, both over the Ohio State Buckeyes. Well, at least the Buckeyes can brag that they're #1 after Greg Oden was drafted by the Portland Trailblazers as the #1 overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft last month.

- Congrats to the Anaheim Ducks for winning the 2007 Stanley Cup over the Ottawa Senators. I'm still hoping that the Washington Capitals will at least make the playoffs next year, but they suck.

- Even if his death and his family's death was tragic, you can never deny that Chris Benoit was one of the best wrestlers in the business. I will remember and respect him for that. R.I.P. Chris, Nancy, and Daniel.

In a few days, David Beckham will be making his much-awaited MLS debut as he'll be playing for the Los Angeles Galaxy in an exhibition game against Chelsea of the English Premier League.

However, rumors have surfaced that he may miss his first game in a Galaxy jersey due to a sore ankle.

Even though I'm not a soccer fan, I do hope he'll be able to play this Saturday, because that ad would suck after all that hype and buildup the past week or two.
